The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Chapter 244 - A Mysterious Yet Familiar Woman

Zhenyi could feel her heart loudly beating against her heart as she stepped inside the bedroom.

\'The balcony way is no longer safe. I need to find or make secret ways if I wish to reside here permanently.\' Zhenyi was thinking in her head.\'I pray that no one finds anything wrong with the video footage.\'

She tossed the dead Bluetooth on the table and called one of her men with another phone.

"Erase all the evidence which shows that I have been out of my room. Keep an eye on Wei, he is my husband\'s eyes and ears right now. If Wei notices anything suspicious, report me."

After saying this she threw away the phone too.

If Long Jie ended up knowing that she had been to Long Ah-Shaan\'s villa, she would just simply come clean. He wouldn\'t be so cruel as to kill his wife, would he?

\'Sigh! Jie, I wish you were here. But it\'s better for you that you are not here. I can\'t be selfish enough to hurt you with half truth. Who knows, maybe it will hurt you more than the real truth!\'

If she remembered it right, Ming Jia said that someone else was also aiming for the box and the latter didn\'t want someone else to get it. She had no idea if Ming Jia wished to keep the box or discard it. After all, Long Ah-Shaan left it for Ming Jia and Tang Reine. And neither did she care. She could burn the box for all she cared.

If she cared about anything to anyone, it\'s just her husband and his heart. Although he said it was made up of steel, she had to say it was still more fragile.

As for the box...

\'Should I open it? Ugh...Why are you such a tempting wooden box?\' Zhenyi said in her mind, her eyes examining the box\'s outer design.

It seemed like a genius had designed it. It may look like an ordinary wooden box but it was not.

Zhenyi sat on the edge of the bed, her eyes still examining the box. She heaved out a long sigh of agony.

Xin Zhenyi was stuck in a dilemma. Her curious heart was urging her to insert the code and open the box to feed the knowledge which her heart was craving so much right now. However, the Mrs. Long inside her didn\'t wish to open it as it was against the actions a married woman should do. Her husband and his family had to be her priority right now. If they wanted a secret buried then she must do the same.

Long Ah-Shaan was a secret buried by his husband\'s family and so she was supposed to do the same.

Yet, the inquisitive heart of Xin Zhenyi won(a character inherited from the meddlesome Tang Reine.)

"Yeah, it sounds good," Zhenyi said in her unusually excited voice. "I put my life in danger for you wooden box. I will certainly be right if I open you first, right? Let me see what kind of secrets you are hiding!"

With this said, Zhenyi instantly inserted the numerical code which Ming Jia told her earlier.

When the box accepted the code, it opened automatically just like earlier.

Her eyes widened as she saw numerous colorful paper-like items inside the box. What were they? She took it in her hands to examine it only to find they were photographs.

Every photograph was painted in different colors. Some were in blue, some in green, many in red and…

She found a scroll-like item…

She unfolded it to discover that it was a painting of a woman.

Green eyes.

Celestial nose.

Bow shaped lips.

Cleft Chin.

There was no doubt that the woman staring at her was a beauty. The artist had poured his soul into imprinting the woman on the paper as if she was a living being.

She was always of the view that her mother was the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. It was not that Tang Reine\'s beauty was pale in comparison to this woman...It was just that the mixed woman in front of her was just something else.

If she was a man she would have married this woman in a heartbeat, given how beautiful this beautiful yet petite woman looked.

However, it was not this woman\'s beauty which caught her attention.

She didn\'t know why but this woman whom she had never met before felt familiar to her.

\'Was she Long Ah-Shaan\'s lover? Or a foe? No. She couldn\'t be his foe. If she was, he wouldn\'t have protected her picture so safely.\'

\'Who are you? How are you related to my Jie? I don\'t know why but I can feel a connection between you two. Don\'t come back to plague our lives whoever you are!\'

She folded the picture again in a roll and put it safely inside the box. She was about to close the box when her gaze fell on something.

Another photograph.

She picked it in her fingers. When her fingers touched the body of the photograph she realized that the photograph was dipped in black ink. She couldn\'t see any face in the photograph as it was dyed black.

She took out a coin and started scratching the thick dried ink on the old photograph. The more she scratched the dried ink, the more the original picture came into her view.

Once she was done…

A view like this came before her eyes…

Song Lily was clad in a white wedding dress. Her eyes were twinkling with happiness. There was something different between the Song Lily of that time and the Song Lily of today.

As her eyes shifted to her hands which were tightly holding an arm…

Zhenyi felt like land slipping before her feet. If she was not sitting down, she would have fallen by the intensity of the shock which Zhenyi received.

"Song Lily was married to Long Ah-Shaan!!"
